Bay Ledges’ combination of folk, surf music, glitched up electronics and soulful singing have allowed the LA duo to develop a compelling combination of styles and aesthetics. With only an EP and several singles under their belts, the fact they landed on a style to call their own speaks to their catchy musicality and innovative artistic vision. Their lyric video for “Safe” adds another layer of intrigue to their approach, with LA soaked visuals that read Miami Vice meets Andy Warhol. Sonically, no matter how many layers of processed singing, shimmering pads and one-shot samples appear, the same groove and modulation elements remain in sight and hold everything together exactly as they should. With the song gaining so much traction so quickly, it's safe to say we can expect a lot of from their upcoming EP.
