The two main interests of face-melting prog-rockers Megafauna? Adventures and shredding. The four-piece has opened for the likes of Cursive, White Denim, Mission of Burma, Mineral, All them Witches and Trail of Dead, has over 200,000 miles of touring under their belt, four LPs, and a shared history of cosmic insanity. This summer we followed the band on tour to capture the chaos as they played art-houses like Santa Fe's Meow Wolf, converted churches, and warehouses.
The band just wrapped up some dates along the west coast, touring behind their new LP, Welcome Home, which blends psych and grunge to candy-coated existential effect. On the road, they also make time for pink pools, cliff jumping, climbing mountains and van fueled chakra clearings in between rage-law partying.
Singer and shredder Dani Neff has learned to make the most out of the journeys from Texas to Canada and back: "I don't know man. I just follow the psychedelic spiral around the country and come out on the other side with musical crystals."
